Expressive & Creative Therapies.

The IAPCCT expressive-arts standard is a single umbrella covering art, music, drama and psychodrama, expressive writing and dance/movement. It sets a common therapeutic core across every level, with medium-specific requirements added by the certifying institute.

Associate Practitioner

Indicative training: 30–60 hrs · Assessment: Attendance & understanding

Practitioner

Indicative training: 120+ hrs · Assessment: Skills demonstration
  • Therapeutic use of a chosen medium

  • Holding strong affect safely

Master Practitioner

Indicative training: 120+ hrs + 15 hrs supervision · Assessment: Assessed practice & supervision
  • Multi-modal and complex work

Trainer

Indicative training: 120+ hrs + 15 hrs supervision · Assessment: Supervised delivery & evaluation
