Every IAPCCT member and accredited provider commits to a published code of ethics and a set of International Standards. These are the practices and procedures that keep our reputation synonymous with quality.
Trainers monitor their own functioning, seek support when needed, and withdraw when their resources cannot support effective training.
Providers set out the responsibilities of trainers and trainees and maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Trainees receive regular feedback, and self and peer assessment is encouraged throughout the program.
All members commit to continuing professional development and can account to trainees and colleagues for what they do and why.
Trainees must not be exploited emotionally, financially, sexually or in any other way. Working relationships are kept distinct from other relationships.
Members avoid disparaging other trainers or organizations, and honour all licensing conditions on any material they use.
The International Association of Professional Coaches, Counselors, and Therapists. An independent body setting standards, accrediting programs, and credentialing practitioners since 2012.
